Exhibition and Art workshops for young people

Anna Boggon, Bridget Crowley, Chris Davies, Ellie Doney, Sarah Hillman, John Holland, Tomaz Kramberger, Miranda Lopatkin, William Mackrell, Wayne Menezes, David Price, Mia Taylor, Kelly Wellman, Isabel Young and participating young artists.

For the '2007 Shoreditch Festival' Standpoint Gallery transformed into a world inspired by Roald Dahl’s book The Twits with an exhibiiton and art activities.

‘The Twits in Shoreditch’ Exhibition

A interactive exhibition opened to the public, featuring collaborative works by artists and local young people. The gallery transformed day by day and grew through each unique shared event.

Art activities

Free afternoon art activities were held during the exhibition for anyone aged 6 – 16, and drop-in art sessions. Working with professional artists to make your own artwork. All works were added to the continually evolving exhibition ‘The Twits in Shoreditch’. Artists lead a different activity every day, including storytelling, painting, sculpture and printmaking. activities included:

Roly Poly birds and mixed media with Ellie Doney
Storytelling with Bridget Crowley
Printing and books with Kelly Wellman
Mixed media beardy bits with Miranda Lopatkin>
Edible eyes & wormy spaghetti art with Ellie Doney
Pottery pie and clay pigeons with Sarah Hillman
Bristly brush painting with Mia Taylor

Everyone was welcomed to a grand exhibition opening party to see the fantastic creations on show and enjoy Wormy Spaghetti, Bird Pie and other Twit refreshments!
